History
Established in 1976, Lomar's first products were cable assembly machines, cut-off machines, and perishable tooling. Operating out of a 3,000- square-foot facility in North Adams, Michigan, the business grew larger than the building could hold.
So, Lomar’s owner, Jim Geisman, found a former screw machine shop in nearby Horton, Michigan, to accommodate growth. And grow the company did. This building, plant one, has undergone seven expansions since the late 1970s.
A large automotive tube fabricator heard about Lomar's machine building capabilities. It asked for a bid on making a dedicated tube bender. Lomar received the order. It was the start of an important Lomar product line.
Today Lomar has five facilities with over 135,889 square feet of manufacturing and office space used to manufacture a diverse line of products that serve the Automotive, Aerospace, Appliance, Agriculture, Furniture, HVAC, Industrial Hydraulics, Medical and Military markets.
